Andrea King has been practicing yoga since she was a teenager, her practice began as a simple way to help overcome her insomnia. Moving on from home practice to the gym as a way to fully round out her workouts, and eventually into studio practice. Injury and life circumstances brought her to mindfulness based stress reduction where she began studying meditation with holistic therapist Mike Masse. Becoming more aware in the present body lead her back to yoga with intensity, now using mindful yoga as a tool to heal, condition and learn her own body, this continues to be the essential core of her practice which is shown in her unconventional way of getting you in and out of poses.
Andrea completed her 200 hour with Diana Lockett and Daniel Horgan of Angeli Yoga Teacher Training in 2015. She continues to study and explore the practice. In 2018 She chose to take her love of learning and travel with her to San Francisco where she is completing her 500RYT with international instructor Jason Crandell known for his mindful, precise and powerful vinyasa teaching. She also spends time volunteering and mentoring with her teaching trainee groups as an act of karma yoga.
With mindfulness as a constant, she brings light, humour, fun and often some pretty sweet music to her classes. Her classes are authentically her, so you can feel safe being you as you are.
