What if I am traveling alone?
This retreat is perfect for any solo travellers! Our small intimate retreat offers you single accommodations if you wish you stay in a private room, or shared accommodations where you are partnered with another solo guest!
What vaccinations do I need?
Some vaccines are recommended or required for Morocco. Please check with a trusted medical practitioner.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance and email a copy directly to Jackee at email@example.com
Do they speak English in Morocco?
The official languages are Modern Standard Arabic and French, however most Moroccans know either one or the other. English is understood only in tourist areas, so we recommend you start to brush up on your French!
Are gratuities included in the price of my trip?
Gratuities for your spa services, guides and meals on your own are not included.
What will the weather/ temperature be like in August in Morocco?
The average temperature in August is 29 degrees. However it might feel cooler when you are by the water, and much hotter when visiting Marrakesh.
Are meals included?
Daily breakfast is included in your package along with some lunches and dinners. For the meals that are not arranged, you have the opportunity to try local cuisine and delicacies at the surrounding restaurants and cafes. Please inform your hosts if you have any dietary restrictions. A budget of $25 per day is very healthy.
Where is Morocco?
Morocco is located in North Africa, just a ferry ride away from Spain.
Where will we be staying in Morocco?
Our luxury villa is located in the colourful town of Essaouira, a short 15 min drive from the beaches and medina/markets.
How do I get to Essaouira?
You will fly to Casablanca, in Morocco first. Air Canada offers direct flights into the Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN). From here flying into Essaouira-Mogador airport (ESU) is easy. You can connect with this short flight at the Casablanca airport. This flight is approximately one hour in length.
Are the airport transfers included in the cost?
Yes, we will transfer you to the airport in Essaouira upon your arrival and departure.
Do I need a Visa to travel to Morocco?
Canadian citizens using Canadian passports do not require a visa to enter Morocco for tourism or business stays under ninety days.
What currency is used in Morocco?
The official currency in Morocco is the Moroccan dirham. However, euros are often widely accepted in most shops, hotels and restaurants.
What if I am new to yoga?
Everyone is welcome. All yoga classes will be accessible for all levels. We encourage creative and safe movement on your mat. All daily classes are optional, but offer a really lovely reset throughout your trip. The daily yoga classes are a nice break in your day to help you slow down and absorb the entire cultural experience. Classes are small and intimate allowing you personalized attention. Please inform your hosts if you are working with any specific injuries.
